A bit about me!

Where To start? Is anyone really good at talking about themselves? No? Ok good not just me?

Hi! My name is Diana founder and photographer of Diana Morhan Photography, a wife, daughter, mother, and your photographer! Growing up photos were a big part of my life, during the big events and even small moments. Being the daughter of Romanian Immigrants my parents taught me to appreciate the memories that we made together. Every now and then we will go through our family albums and laugh and smile at all of the years past, from family events to my little soup cake (You can ask me more about that later). As your photographer I want you to be able to look back at the captured memories 5, 10, 20 years from now and smile or laugh or even cry (of joy of course!). My goal as your photographer is to capture the emotions so when you look back at your memories you can feel the love, smell the smells, hear the laughter. Let's make a capture these precious moments.

Why Photography?

My Photo Journey

How did I get into photography? As mentioned before, photographs were a big part of my childhood, the memories were always so important to me and my family. (I also grew up with 2 photographers in the family). In high school I took a photography class and fell even more in LOVE with photography, I learned how to develop film in a dark room, how to be creative with my shots, and how to work a digital camera! I thought about being a photographer but my parents encouraged me to get a degree in something else. No problem! I went into the next thing I absolutely loved, Criminal Justice! As time went on I eventually got my Bachelors in Criminal Justice but I still loved taking photos. I would jump at every opportunity to take photos at events.

Now came the year 2020 (Before even the mention of covid), I was freshly graduated, did not have any jobs lined up. One of my best friends asked me to take photos at her baby shower (which I of course jumped to!) While there a friend of hers came up to me and we started chatting about photography, she ended up telling me about a wedding she was hired to do and asked if I would be interested in assisting her that day! Of course I said yes!!! So from then on I learned how to work my camera better and got my own (I had been using my parents camera at that point). Now, unfortunately, that wedding was canceled but that did not stop me from continuing my photo journey.

Now I'm on my 4th year of being a professional photographer and I absolutely love it!
